Nikka From The Barrel is a blended whiskey that was released in 1985. The development of this formula began with the aim of offering full flavors and whiskey richness like "from the barrel", which only true aficionados can smell and taste. .
The iconic square bottle reflects its "small block of whiskey" concept and embodies the intense and rich flavors of whiskey. Long after its launch, this bottle is still timeless and admired for its extreme simplicity.
TASTING NOTES: ON THE NOSE
Born from the union of single malts with Japanese wheat whiskeys, coming from the Yoichi and Miyahikyo distilleries. The nose is balanced with floral notes of lilac, fresh fruit and sweet spices. Light vegetal notes
TASTING NOTES: ON THE PALATE
On the palate it is full-bodied and incisive, again hints of spices, vanilla and toffee are combined with hints of caramel. The finish is long and fruity with notes of oak and spices
VINIFICATION AND AGING
Long in oak barrels, but deliberately the age of rest in the barrel is not revealed.
